Dr Who Stories We'd Like to See
This brilliant piece can be found here |
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 597: The Doctor saves the princes in the tower - Richard III is in league with aliens and the whole thing can be an elaborate joke setup to Richard eventually being buried in a car park
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 11: The Doctor meets Tolstoy during his experience in Crimea and takes him back to Napoleon's invasion (remember he said that Napoleon threw a bottle of wine at him? this is when it happened) on an alternate timeline in which the writer meets and interacts with the Bezukhovs, the Bolkonskys, the Rostovs, the Kuragins and the Drubetskoys. Perhaps Piotr *does* in fact assassinate Napoleon. - with that timeline...., The Doctor brings back Tolstoy to his own day in which Napoleon has not been assassinated but defeated but none of those people exist except in his memory and so writes his novel/contemplation of history from this experience.
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 891: A brilliant mathematician at Christchurch Oxford one summer in the mid-1850s, a mirror, a little girl.
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 116: Nevermind the Girl in the Fireplace - how about the ghost and/or time slip story of the two school teachers in the early 1900's who went on a bicycling tour of Versailles and each, without consulting the other, started having visions of late 18th C nobles picnicking and engaging in other rococo frolicks? They noted that something became oppressive in the air and a flatness. Now it has also been noted the the Comte de Montesquiou liked to play dress up in the gardens right about that time and it might have been him and his côterie....or might he himself have been caught up in a time slip like our schoolteachers, or triggered one, and the Doctor could solve the mystery and save the lost Dauphin for good measure.
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 249: We all know that Jane Austen, conteuse extraordinaire of going to the chapel, never herself married. We also know that well past her sell-by date she was proposed to, accepted, and the next day sent by note her regrets and change of mind. We all know the propensity of the tardis for showing up before weddings. There are some unfinished novels to throw in for good measure.
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 417: The Doctor and/or companion is trapped in what will eventually become known as the Chauvet caves - while inside the landslide closes the entrance - something about the cracks, and all those hand marks on the wall are the companion and/or the Doctor trying to get out or to leave a message as in Blink, for Chauvet and friends to find when the place is discovered after creeping and squeezing and crawling through the dark ouriboros spaces
Doctor Who Stories we'd like to see n° 692: The Doctor is in Switzerland that rainy summer whose weather was not at all due to a volcano, or it was, but....anyway the horror stories and what inspired Mary and why the men cd never finish theirs except for Polidori
